1. Pure Labor Model & Pass-Through Sourcing
CGST R.33
Silicon Rigs operates strictly as an independent service lab providing technical assembly, firmware configuration, acoustic optimization, and thermal stress testing. We do not engage in the retail sale, inventory holding, or mark up of computer hardware, components, or peripherals.
When a client requests component procurement assistance, Silicon Rigs acts strictly as a purchasing liaison. All distributor and retail invoices are generated directly in the client's name, establishing direct warranty ownership between the client and the respective manufacturer or retail merchant. Silicon Rigs' revenue is strictly limited to the agreed-upon technical bench labor fee stated on the service receipt.
2. Architecture Consultations & Promotional Credits
Consultation fees cover dedicated engineering hours allocated to component vetting, physical clearance auditing, thermal modeling, and vendor retailer matching. Consultation fees are non-refundable once the curated specification roadmap or blueprint has been generated.
Any promotional credit, launch incentive, or fee deduction applied toward subsequent assembly services is valid strictly within the promotional window stated at the time of intake and is non-transferable. Unredeemed promotional credits expire automatically at the conclusion of the stated promotional period and cannot be redeemed for cash.
3. Geographic Boundaries (Zero Desktop Shipping)
Physical bench labor, in-studio builds, hardware refreshes, and doorstep visits are strictly limited to the designated Hyderabad Metro Area and surrounding local studio zones.
For clients located outside the local metropolitan operating area, services are provided 100% digitally via remote consultation and parts vetting. To eliminate transit shock, internal bracket strain, and tempered glass freight destruction, Silicon Rigs does not courier, freight-ship, or accept built desktop chassis via third-party parcel transport.
4. Doorstep Services & Priority Queueing
Service extensions compensate Silicon Rigs for reserved engineer time, dispatch transit, and prioritized workbench allocation:
• Doorstep Assembly: All functional components must be physically on-site prior to engineer arrival. Doorstep dispatch and transit fees are earned upon arrival and are non-refundable once the technician reaches the site.
• Dead-On-Arrival (DOA) Hardware: If a sealed, third-party component proves defective out of the box, our service obligation for that session is fulfilled upon diagnosing and isolating the faulty part. Re-assembly following client RMA or replacement requires a separate service booking.
• Priority Bench Queue: Turnaround guarantees commence strictly upon verified physical receipt of all necessary, functional hardware in hand at the studio. Turnaround clocks pause automatically during any delays caused by missing, incompatible, or defective client parts.
5. Data Preservation & Storage Media Disclaimer
Hardware Only
Our workshop responsibility covers physical hardware chassis, motherboards, mechanical assemblies, and cooling loops. We do not retain, manage, or assume custody of intangible data, operating systems, cryptographic private keys, software licenses, or personal files.
Firmware flashing, BIOS updates, and intensive thermal bench testing carry inherent risks to storage drives and partition tables. Clients are required to maintain a full, verified external backup of all data prior to device handover. Silicon Rigs disclaims all liability for data recovery, software re-licensing, or filesystem corruption under any legal theory.
6. Aged Hardware & Material Fatigue
All hardware is serviced using anti-static protocols and torque-calibrated bench tools. However, computer hardware subjected to extended thermal cycles naturally experiences plastic embrittlement and dielectric pad decay.
During upgrades or restorations of pre-owned systems, Silicon Rigs is not liable for the unavoidable mechanical failure of aged, pre-fatigued materials (including, without limitation, brittle PCIe locking latches, molded fan clips, dry ribbon cables, or stripped legacy case standoffs) that fracture despite standard professional care.
7. Manufacturer Warranties & Custom Modifications
Manufacturer warranties, RMA approvals, and factory service contracts remain strictly between the client and the respective component manufacturers. Silicon Rigs makes no representations regarding third-party warranty claims or RMA processing turnaround times.
Modifications requiring aftermarket bracket installation, contact frames, or custom thermal compounds are performed strictly upon the client’s direction. If an OEM denies warranty coverage due to factory tamper-seal disturbance or aftermarket cooling mounts, Silicon Rigs bears no financial liability.
8. Workmanship Guarantee & Remedy
Silicon Rigs guarantees its physical assembly, thermal mounting execution, cable routing, and fan airflow orientation for the duration stated on your confirmed service tier from the date of handover.
In the event of a verified craftsmanship defect, our sole obligation is the re-inspection and correction of our labor at no additional charge. This guarantee excludes: factory silicon lot defects, manufacturing failures, home electrical surges, improper premises earthing, unstable manual user overclocking, transit damage arranged by the client, or third-party disassembly.
9. Absolute Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the total cumulative liability of Silicon Rigs for all claims, breaches, or disputes arising from any service shall be strictly capped at the actual technical service fee paid by the client for that specific engagement.
Under no circumstances shall Silicon Rigs be liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages, including loss of business revenue, workstation downtime, missed production deadlines, or commercial opportunities.
10. Workshop Pickup & Abandoned Property
Completed systems must be collected within fourteen (14) calendar days of completion notification. Systems held past this period accrue standard daily studio custodial fees as posted in workshop guidelines.
Hardware remaining uncollected and unpaid beyond sixty (60) calendar days will be deemed abandoned. Following a mandatory 15-day formal written notice sent via recorded electronic channels, Silicon Rigs reserves the right to recycle, salvage, or liquidate the hardware to offset outstanding service, diagnostic, and storage costs.
11. Studio Operations & Right of Cessation
Silicon Rigs reserves the absolute right to suspend, pause, or permanently terminate any or all studio operations, service tiers, or intake channels at any time, for any operational reason, with immediate effect and without prior public notice.
In the event of operational cessation, temporary studio suspension, or capacity pauses, Silicon Rigs will respect and honor all existing, confirmed bookings that have already been allocated a confirmed Registry ID, fulfilling or resolving them at studio discretion in accordance with these standards.
12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms and all service engagements are governed by and construed in accordance with the substantive laws of India. Any legal dispute or controversy arising out of this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent civil courts situated in Hyderabad, Telangana.
